I Felt like giving up

Starting a business is often romanticised, the freedom, the passion, the “doing what you love.” But the truth? It can be quiet. Lonely. And harder than you expect.

When I started Petal & Pine, I did so with a deep belief in what I could offer: calm, thoughtful admin support for Therapists and Conscious professionals. But I also knew I was starting from scratch, No list of clients, No viral post, Just a quiet hope that there was space in the world for this work, and for me.

There have been days where I’ve wondered if it’s working. If I should just leave it as a side thing. If anyone sees what I’m trying to build. The likes trickle in slowly. Enquiries don’t always convert. You put your heart into a post, and it barely reaches anyone.

And yet... just when I’ve felt most unsure, something always shifts.
A past client comes back.
Someone messages to say, “You make things feel less overwhelming.”
A new follower says they love what I’m doing.

Tiny signs. But they matter. They remind me that this isn’t just a service, it’s a life I’m trying to create. One rooted in calm, freedom, and the kind of meaningful work I used to only dream about.

So I’m not giving up.

And maybe you’re reading this at a time when you needed to hear that too.

Whether you’re starting something, running something, or simply hoping for something, I see you and I’m cheering you on.

Thanks for being here.
